Don's many years of experience in manufacturing plasticating cylinders is a valuable resource for his colleagues and for all WEXCO customers.  Don started his career at WEXCO as a machinist in 1979. He progressed through various machine operator positions that required operating and setting up most of the key machinery currently in use in the factory, including lathes, hones, electric discharge machinery, and milling machines. In 1986, Don was promoted to supervisor, followed by the promotion to Plant Manager in 1994.  In August 2007, Don assumed his current position. He frequently assists customers with their machining and assembly problems on plasticating cylinders.

Barry has 40 years of industrial experience, a significant portion of which has been spent in plastic processing equipment and components manufacturing.  Barry's responsibilities at Wexco include facilitating , growing and managing OEM and twin bore product business segments. Mr. Tyree's history includes several sales management positions within the plastics machinery industry.

Connie spent forty-one years in the structural steel industry, starting as a draftsman. He was subsequently promoted to cost estimator, and finally served in sales management for many years before joining WEXCO in 1993 as a sales engineer. He applies his diversified professional experience and knowledge to assist WEXCO customers with skill and enthusiasm every day .

When Roger began his career at WEXCO in 1996, he brought more than 25 years of sales experience to the WEXCO sales staff. He has been assigned to serve several major OEM and distributor accounts and is heavily involved in new account development. Roger enjoys visiting customers to assist them with their special cylinder needs. He holds a B.S. degree from the University of North Carolina.

Veronica joined WEXCO on February 11, 2008.  Mrs. Reid is fluent in three languages - Spanish, German and English. She studied International business and is a graduate of The German-Chilean Business College in Santiago, Chile. Her previous experience includes development of  marketing, sales strategies and technical support to the plastics processing industry in Chile for BASF Corporation.   Veronica works closely with the sales department in support of marketing and sales efforts along with handling translation and communication with Latin America clients.

Brad Brown     Industrial Engineer

Brad is responsible for estimating the manufacturing costs of bimetallic cylinder designs and for improving manufacturing methods for production. Brad started with WEXCO in March 1997 as an I.D. Grinder in the manufacturing department. Subsequently, he programmed and operated CNC milling machines and soon served as Lead person. His promotion in January 2001 to the position of Industrial Engineer recognized his considerable practical technical skills and education.

Scott's vast experience and knowledge in design and manufacturing of plasticating cylinders benefits our customers as well as other WEXCO personnel. Scott is an experienced CAD designer and is responsible for maintaining and growing WEXCO's extensive product drawing database, which is key to WEXCO's rapid quotation response time and speedy manufacturing capabilities. Scott has been part of WEXCO’s team since 1985.

Calvin joined WEXCO in 1999. He manages the Engineering and Technical Services group and has responsibility for all R & D and Engineering activities, including engineering support to production.  Calvin also provides technical support to customers, including failure analysis, compatibility recommendations, and design. A graduate of Oklahoma State University and Texas A&M University, where he earned his M.S.M.E. and PhD, Calvin is a Registered Professional Engineer.  He has significant experience in materials testing and failure analysis and serves as an in-house consultant to various departments.

Preston McConville      Expediter/Scheduler

Preston started working for WEXCO in 1979, just four years after the company was established. He worked for eight years in WEXCO's production weld shop and then took on his current duties as an Expediter/Production Scheduler.
Preston closely follows job orders going through the factory and processes job changes as well as repair orders.

Jody joined WEXCO in February 1999 as Sales Secretary after 21 years with the former Crestar Bank.  She was subsequently promoted to the position of Sales & Marketing Assistant and provided support to the inside sales staff and the V.P. of Sales & Marketing.  When the position of Materials Supervisor & Traffic Manager became available in June 2005, Jody was offered and accepted the job.  As the Materials Supervisor & Traffic Manager, Jody continues to have contact with our customers by making shipping arrangements for them. She also places all orders with WEXCO's suppliers for all raw materials required to make our products.  Jody reports directly to Chuck Covington, Director Of Operations.

Shortly after serving four years in the U.S. Marine Corps, Terry joined WEXCO's production staff in 1989.  He progressed through "the ranks" of production by operating a variety of production equipment, including rough and finish lathes, O.D. grinders, surface grinders, and our spin-cast furnace.  His skills and dedication earned Terry a promotion to lead man (3rd shift) in 1998 and to supervisor (1st shift) in 1999.  He was the first choice in replacing the then retiring production manager in March 2002.  Terry reports directly to Chuck Covington, Director of Operations.

Chuck joined WEXCO in November 2000.  He manages WEXCO's production and purchasing / materials groups. Chuck previously held executive positions within integrated manufacturing companies that offered engineered-to-order products to the aerospace and mass transit business sector.  He brings to WEXCO more than twenty years of prior experience in operations and materials management.

Prior to joining WEXCO in 1989, Ethel held positions in Accounting and Banking. She now serves as general office and human resource manager and holds responsibility for all accounting functions, including monthly and quarterly P&L statements, payroll, employee benefits, and accounts receivable and payable. 
Ethel also processes and approves customers' applications for credit and payment terms.

Executive Management

Pete joined WEXCO in 1999 as Executive Vice President and was promoted to President in August of 2000. Before joining WEXCO, he had accumulated 22 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, and general management positions, including president of the Bondcote Corporation. A graduate of the United States Military Academy with a B.S. in Engineering, Pete is a retired Colonel with 30 years of U.S. Army active and reserve duty. He served in Vietnam and in Operation Desert Storm, where he commanded a petroleum supply battalion that provided fuel to combat units.
